Early Childhood Supports
(0-8 years)

At Healthy Young Minds, we provide early childhood supports for young children and their families to help build strong foundations for learning, communication, emotional wellbeing, and development.

Our team understands that every child develops differently. Some children may need extra support with communication, emotional regulation, social interaction, school readiness, behaviour, attention, play skills, or early learning. Early support can make a meaningful difference in helping children participate more confidently at home, kindergarten, school, and in the community.

We offer a warm, neurodiversity-affirming and family-centred approach tailored to each child’s strengths, needs, and developmental stage.

Our Early Childhood Supports May Assist With:

  • Emotional regulation and behaviour support

  • Social communication and interaction skills

  • Attention and engagement

  • Play skills and learning through play

  • School readiness and transition to school

  • Early literacy and numeracy foundations

  • Communication and language development

  • Autism and ADHD-related support needs

  • Parent coaching and practical strategies

  • Building independence and daily living skills

Multidisciplinary Support in One Clinic

As a paediatric allied health clinic, families can access a range of supports in one place, including:

  • Child psychology

  • Speech therapy

  • Educational therapy

  • Developmental and learning assessments

This collaborative approach allows our clinicians to work together to support your child’s overall development and participation.

NDIS-Friendly Services

Our early childhood supports are suitable for privately funded and NDIS-funded participants where services align with the child’s goals and functional needs.

School Readiness Support

We also offer school readiness support for children preparing to start kindergarten or primary school. Sessions may focus on:

  • Following routines and transitions

  • Emotional regulation

  • Social confidence

  • Early communication skills

  • Pre-academic foundations

  • Attention and group participation

Parent Collaboration

We believe parents and caregivers are an important part of the support process. We work closely with families to provide practical strategies that can be used at home and across everyday environments.
