🌱 Educational Therapy for NDIS Participants
Building functional skills for independence, confidence, and participation
At Healthy Young Minds, we provide educational therapy to help children and young people develop the everyday learning skills they need to thrive — at home, at school, and in the community.
Unlike tutoring, which focuses on school curriculum, educational therapy supports the functional aspects of learning that are often impacted by disability.
How Educational Therapy Helps
Our sessions are tailored to your child’s NDIS goals and may focus on:
-
Functional literacy and numeracy — reading signs, handling money, telling time, following instructions.
-
Executive functioning — organisation, planning, attention, working memory, problem-solving.
-
Confidence and self-regulation — building resilience, coping with frustration, staying engaged in learning.
-
Generalising skills — applying what’s learned across home, school, and community life.
